Every Friday I confer with individual students regarding their independent reading books.  Whenever one of my students, usually a boy, is reading a Star Wars book, we end up talking about all six Star Wars movies, Star Wars video games, Star Wars Lego sets, and The Clone Wars  t.v. series.  (Not very text-based, I know.)  So this week, in anticipation of the re-release of the Star Wars movies in 3-D, I am pondering a question posed by editor, Cheryl Klein.  That is, are you going to take your own children to see the Star Wars movies in this new order, Episodes 1-6, or in the order in which they were originally released?  Clearly, to anyone over the age of 30, Episodes 4-6 are the best.  And, does the ending of Episode 3, ruin the big reveal in Episode 5, The Empire Strikes Back?  May the force be with you as you ponder this important parenting issue.
