If you're looking to improve your own writing, or that of your students, you might want to learn from a master.  Below, Jerry Seinfeld shares his process for writing a joke.  What I really want my students to notice, is his emphasis on how much time it takes to write well.  Here is clear evidence of a man who doesn't fall in love with his first draft.  Notice all of the cross-outs in his
hand-written notes?  -further evidence of the adage, "Writing is re-writing."
