Yesterday, the Pew Internet Research Center released statistics showing that e-readership in Americans age 16 and older grew from 16% last year to 23% this year. Traditional book readers dropped from 72% to 67%. However, most intersting to me as a reading teacher, was the fact that reading of any kind decreased from 78% to 75%. While the Pew Internet Research Center called this insignificant, I think it may be worth watching. To view the graphs and data, click here.
Happy book reading or e-reading.
